Individual + Group Therapy

As Maya Angelou said,My mission in life is not merely to survive, but thrive".

The underlying goal of therapy is truly to help the you live a more fulfilling life.  My aim is to support your unique healing and growth process so you can embody a greater sense of balance, connection, confidence, and ease within yourself.

Experiencing pain and trauma is an inevitable and natural part of life.  But suffering with the impacts of those experiences do not necessarily need to be a life sentence. It is possible to Heal and even evolve our understanding of who we are and what our larger purpose may be through compassionate self-inquiry.

I specialize in working with individuals who are navigating life transitions, struggling with relationship challenges, dealing with anxiety, chronic stress and pain, and the impacts of trauma.

I take an integrative approach to healing that draws from traditional talk therapy, ancient mindfulness practices, EMDR, and somatic psychotherapy, specifically Somatic Experiencing.  And I firmly believe that knowledge is power, so I also offer psycho-education about how the body and mind respond to stress and safety and how to capitalize on this knowledge to cultivate more self-regulation.

Typical Sessions are 50 mins. While I am based in Seattle, I offer secure Telehealth sessions in both California and Washington state.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a form of therapy that helps people heal from trauma or other distressing life experiences. It has been extensively researched and proven to be a rapid, effective, and safe treatment approach for psychological stress. EMDR therapy is designed to resolve unprocessed traumatic memories in the brain that often manifest as painful and debilitating thoughts and emotions. Part of the therapy includes alternating (bi-lateral) eye movements, sounds, or taps that support the brain and nervous system to release maladaptively stored memories. EMDR sessions are only provided in the context of ongoing psychotherapy within the states of California and Washington. Click here to set up a free consult to discuss this option.
