Who can attend the training?
The Trauma-Informed Yoga Training – Foundations 20hr Module is open to people of all levels and all backgrounds; you do not need any specific training prior to attending, although we strongly recommend having a current yoga practice. We believe this training will be most helpful for yoga teachers, social workers, therapists, health care professionals, educators, community service personnel, and activists looking for tools to support sustainable healing from trauma and chronic stress.
What will I learn?
The Foundations Module of the TIY training provides an integrative framework for understanding how complex trauma and chronic stress impact the body and mind. This training will equip you with relevant theory, tools, and in-person practice to better support trauma survivors as they befriend their bodies and reclaim a sense of safety and empowerment in their lives.
